Oh the weather outside is… certainly frightful, and I’m not a fan. It’s cold, wet, and to be honest, winter makes me a little bit more vulnerable, and more prone to flares and falling. It’s giving disability chic, naturally, dahlings.
Travel is something I have grown to love, especially as a ‘trigger’ following the three lockdowns in the UK. I needed to move around more. This also coincided with feminist icons and thinkers espousing the idea of ‘art dates’ - to spend time alone with your thoughts, exploring, to be curious about the world around you. Access wise, this activity can be hit and miss. But why should we miss out?
I get to travel with my job. This year, that has included London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Brighton and much of the South Coast; it takes a lot of extra work. I also got to go back to Amsterdam and Rotterdam; this is my favourite thing to do, because standing still isn’t an option any more.
