Why You Cannot & Should Not Separate A Person From Their Disability
As Disability Pride Month begins to end, and I go to ground while working up my next long term project, I’ve been thinking about the concept of shame a lot. Other, younger Autistic individuals have been asking me about this a lot; some are struggling with a new diagnosis, while others ask more directly for help. Two years ago, I came across the title for this post on Twitter. This note to a younger version of myself was logged in my phone. Shame sequesters itself into a silence too often; this needed to be shared.
